We made some discoveries late on Friday about some crashes that may occur on the linux version of the dedicated server but not the windows version.
Its all to do with the differences between the windows compiler and g++, but we understand the problem now and it will be fixed in the future. So, you may get some seg faults, particularly around the time that 2 players go to pickup the same wallet at the same instant. I'm not sure where the event information is for Linux, there was nothing in the server log file just an unexpected end of that log and then a new log file was opened. I'm recording console logging now so if it happens again I'll be able to see the error message at least. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ronny Schedel" To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, February 10, 2007 2:19 AM Subject: [hlds_linux] TheShip server unstable like hell > Hello, > > we have setup a ship dedicated server for the free weekend on a Debian > system, but it crashes randomly after some minutes.
