usage: taskset [options] [mask | cpu-list] [pid | cmd [args...]]
set or get the affinity of a process

-p, --pid operate on existing given pid
-c, --cpu-list display and specify cpus in list format
 -h, --help display this help
 -v, --version output version information

The default behavior is to run a new command:
 taskset 03 sshd -b 1024
You can retrieve the mask of an existing task:
 taskset -p 700
Or set it:
 taskset -p 03 700
List format uses a comma-separated list instead of a mask:
 taskset -pc 0,3,7-11 700
Ranges in list format can take a stride argument:
 e.g. 0-31:2 is equivalent to mask 0x55555555

E.G: taskset-pc <processor> <pid>
       taskset -pc 0 11111

Hi everybody I`ve got a 64 bit server and emulate all to 32 bit.

Now my problem. When nobody is on the server I`ve got stable 500 FPS and
when people are playing on this server the FPS decrease to 333 FPS.

In cs 1.6 the serverfps are stable on 1000 FPS.

So now my question: Did anyone know how I can make the Serverfps in css
stable?

Please do not write use 32 bit OS and so on.

My OS on server is:
Linux/Debian 64bit

processor:
Intel Core2Duo

you don't want to hear this..but use a 32 bit os. emulation slows you
down and when you put a load on it you only add to the overhead the the
performance decrease. That's just how it is.

You can most certainly get stable Source FPS on a 64bit kernel at or over
500fps (it's rather pointless, however). Follow that:

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?s=b049b58954779c972aa3d
026a628be86&threadid=486424&highlight=recompile

Minimally you should pull a stable 666fps on 64bit. To hit the 1000fps
plateau you will need a 32bit kernel (yet again...pointless).

Thanks for your answer but I`ve got a 32 bit kernel.

Hertz was on 1000 now on 1500 and Ive only got 485 when nobody is
playing.

Follow the directions in the url. You'll need to apply a realtime tick
patch and edit the jiffies.h file (doubling shift_hz 10). When you reboot
you'll find the fps is much higher.

make sure speedstep etc are all disabled as well, APM can cause
jitter with the PLL, therefor causing FPS/timing differences..

FWIW i believe most core2's have speedstep enabled by default..
