Hi everyone, We are also getting horrible lag after X hours of server uptime. As many of us, we tried different kernel version without any success, the lag comes back after 2/4 sometimes 10 hours of uptime.
We are using an up to date debian sarge 3.1 OS, with a custom 2.6.20 kernel (tried 2.6.17 and 2.6.18 the past days as well). The problem we are facing is described here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=544787 It seems a lot (if not all) of the GSP facing this problem use debian. I think we all use debian sarge.. Are there any people facing the lag issue and is not using debian sarge ? Are there any people NOT facing the lag issue AND using debian sarge ? What about debian etch, you guys have the problem or not (I'll try updating to etch right after the mail is sent) ? VALVe / Alfred: - What kernel version are you using on your linux test servers? - What versions of the different libraries used for source engine are you using on your linux test servers ?
