Actually, when I begin the install, I do so with only the actual steam
client and no other files.


[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~/srcds/tf2 $ ls
steam  test1.so  test2.so  test3.so  update
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~/srcds/tf2 $ cat update
./steam -command update -game "tf" -dir .
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~/srcds/tf2 $ ./update
Checking bootstrapper version ...
Updating Installation
No installation record found at .
No installation record found at .
No installation record found at .
No installation record found at .
No installation record found at .
No installation record found at .
Checking/Installing 'Team Fortress 2 Content' version 5

0.00%   .\tf\bin\server.dll

So that particular file is now to blame here. =) Any other ideas?
