I recommend Dynamic ticks, as it pretty much tells the kernel "update at will" 
instead of a set update schedule. (hardware limited obviously)

Interesting. Ok, I have recompiled a few kernals, I may as well take a crack
at it. So is there a mak value for kernel_hz or some formula that will help
you decide a good rate to set it? -Theo
