i tried chmod 777 to all files and the dir, i tried reinstalling the whole
server from scratch and still the same error. :/

It gives a permission denied error. Make sure you have chmodded the files
correctly (a real dirty way to test; chmod 777 -R dir_name)

I just got a new host with AMD-opteron CPU and fedcore 7.
Cant seem to get this CS:S server running.....
