Secondly, it's a Pentium 4 with 3.6 GHz? Then it should actually support SSE2... so the problem might lie elsewhere. Unfortunately, Valve hasn't been at all forthcoming with information on this bug. Somebody should probably call them over the phone, since phone calls are by definition harder to ignore. Arc: didn't mean to insult anybody. I should probably have put "decent" in quotes too, not only "remedy". Of course it's a Valve issue, and of course non-SSE2 machines are still pretty decent. I'll use this space to categorically declare that I wasn't intentionally pointing fingers at Linux server admins and calling their machines junk, and if I did so unintentionally, I apologize.
