Hey Guys! Our clan is watching out for a new rootserver to run 2 public and 2 Private 1.6 HLDS. Right now we are working on Athlon X2-3800+ and 1 Gb of ram. Now we would be really happy if you could help us to choose the hardware. What's the best hardware, to run these hlds with about 50 slots all in all? Should it be a Xeon or does a Core2Duo also work that good, to avoid framedrops (like we now have)? It's clear, that we will choose 2Gb of ram, but we didn't find anything about CPU-selection. Futher we've read, that it needs to be a mainbord with INTEL-chipset so the servers run constantly on 1000fps. Is that right and does this make a difference?
