Did you checked your memory with memtest or something similar?


I have a whole bunch of seg faults, 100+
The server can't be logged into after these seg faults happened. It gives
me
a new hash value when I try to login and rejects my root pass. A reboot
quickly fixes this.

Is what I have a whole bunch of and I this is what I diagnosed to be the
problem.
