In my version of screen, the character "Ð" (0xD0) and possibly others has been causing it to lockup.
This manifests as something like: "Player Ã" being printed and the screen freezing (trying to print "Player Ðeathwish has joined" or some such) This appears to just be a screen bug. I noticed my script wasn't starting it with -U, which may fix it. It doesn't appear these players are trying to abuse anything. To unfreeze screen hit Control-A, Shift-C which will flush the console and unfreeze it. while screen is frozen the server continues to run fine. Any time this players name is printed to console the game will freeze again. It's very likely the -U option and/or a newer version of screen fixes this issue, i'll let you guys know what I find. Just though I'd share in case anyone else is encountering this annoyance. - Neph _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
