I hope you are new to linux. NEVER EVER do a chmod -R 777. Are you crazy?
If you want to be a little little bit more secure, go into your srcds
dir and do a:
find . -type d -exec chmod 755 {} \;
find . -type f -exec chmod 644 {} \;
chmod 755 srcds_* orangebox/srcds_*
