I am running a 1000hz, low latency kernel. I have my -ticrate (command
line option) set to 66 on my DOD: Source server. I thought that ticrate
basically governed server fps, but when I run the "stats" command in the
console, I see that my server is running at around 200 fps.

This doesn't appear to be a problem, I haven't noticed any excessive cpu
load issues, however, I like to know what is going on and how things
work, in case I do need to make adjustments. Why is my server running
at 200 and not 66 fps?

Just in case anyone thinks I'm offering crappy service to unsuspecting
clients, this is just a small server (16 slots) I run for friends on
weekends. I do take it seriously and have put a lot of effort into
making sure it runs smoothly and is fun to play on, but it will never be
a high performance competition standard server.

I'm not concerned about that, but I am concerned about making sure the
cpu can handle the load. The server seems to run smoothly when I am on,
and I haven't had any complaints about lag, so I don't think I have a
whole lot to be worried about, but as I said, I do like to know how
things work, in case I do need to make adjustments.
