I've used it at work for production servers ( MSSQL, Exchange, ... ) and it works like a charm. We're moving to MS Hyper-V starting in Feb 09, not my decision, and VMWare has always seemed to perform better than MS in the Virtualization realm.
That being said, I've never done it with game servers, I have run plenty test boxes from within the GSX tho. Never had any issues there. ESX would be a better option IMO than the GSX.
