I have also been able to do the russian walk and make it still with 1/4 noise. Can make the crouch time just long enough for it to register as a quiet footstep.
An example script i made to make this happen easier: alias +russian "+duck;wait;-duck;wait;+duck" alias -russian "-duck" bind key +russian Press and hold while moving forward until your crouched player is about to hit the floor, then let go and press striaght away. Repeat. Granted its more difficult to do it without making a 100% noise, but its still reletivly easy to do.
