I host my clan servers on an AMD XP 1700+ with 1gb of ram. I host TF2, DOD:S, AoC, and few HL1 mods as well. The odd thing is, HLDS uses more cpu than SRCDS, especially since the last update.
Pings are good and stable with no latency issues that can be attributed to the server, servers are running at between 150 and 250 fps, and I am also hosting a minimal web page on the same box. I'm not knocking all the 10GHZ 1000fps servers out there, but it is possible to host a very smooth running server on some pretty old hardware. :) Drek Antoine Libert wrote: > Your guys are not going to believe this but ...
