On Gentoo i do not have this issue, but i only have Core2Quad here to test on Gentoo, no Debian stable, nor lenny, nor sid...
Meanwhile i tested on Lenny --> Problem still there. Tried with Sid --> Problem stil there! On Gentoo with C2Q NO Problems with de_torn.
