I have been experimenting and found out that binding the ip address via the command line argument +ip stops hlds from responding to broadcast packets looking for dedicated servers even though sv_lan 1 is set. Can anyone else confirm this? If so, this makes running multiple different game servers on the standard port more difficult than desired. I'm looking at running multiple Left 4 Dead, HL2MP, Counter-Strike etc (depending on demand) off of a dedicated server and was binding specific ip addresses for each one so they could all listen on unique ip addresses. If I remove the +ip argument, the server responds as expected to broadcast packets. I did my testing with L4D. Thanks in advance!
