I put my corrected version up in my svn repository. This is based on the latest hlds_run included with the "-beta hlds0319" version of hlds.

Just go up to the parent directory. For anyone that read over the code samples in my previous message in this thread, please note that I messed up the one line with grep in it. The above linked file has it implemented properly.
