We've had discussions on the list about this already, but I'm curious if anyone has found a method (either with a sourcemod plugin or otherwise) to handle setting alltalk appropriate across map changes?
Right now when my server loads, I do not set sv_alltalk anywhere -- it's using the engine defaults (which reports 1, but alltalk is not enabled if we play). So I've given the !votealltalk command to everybody to use -- and it works great. If alltalk is off, it switches it on -- works just like it should. But when we change maps, the engine resets alltalk to whatever the startup value is (again, it reports 1 but alltalk does not work), and we have to issue a votealltalk again. I'd like to fix this so that during a reservation, whenever alltalk is voted for, that setting carries through from map change to map change. Just curious how or if anyone else is handling this. I know many of you just flip it on or off and it's there unless an admin does that -- but I like giving the players the ability to control that. Any input would be appreciated! _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
