Ill run a few disk diagnostics, doubt its server hardware because L4D runs
fine on the same machine as does COD4.

If the 2 servers are the same, swap the hard disks and see if the problem
stays with the disk or the server.  Sounds like a hardware issue if the
disks are clones and the hardware is the same.
