I don't remember where I read this, but I use -ip for my internal IP
and -hostip for my external IP. I don't know if it does any good or
not, but my servers has always worked that way, and both IP's show up
in the status command:

status
hostname: [DK] Rubber Chicken 1. Public server
version : 1.0.1.5 3979 secure
udp/ip  : 192.168.0.3:27016 [ public 82.180.28.218:27016 ]
os      : Linux Dedicated
