I had this same problem because I subscribe with an alternate email address, and my email app, Thunderbird, by default sends out under my main address, but when it replies it replies using the address the original message was received under. This meant that, until I figured out what was going on, only my replies to the list were being posted to the mailing list, while messages that weren't replies weren't being accepted.
Just make sure when you submit your emails you are actually sending them from the address that is subscribed to the list.
