Thanks for getting back to me, Shane, and for taking up valuable drinking time to do so.
-verify_all doesn't seem to check the steam_appid.txt file. It's not replacing it when I delete it. I'll fix it up manually. I normally use nano for edits, but there are a couple of rogue Windows users around here that dont. Also, I don't seem to have a steam.inf file at all and even with -verify_all one isn't being created. Is that a problem?
