Hi!
I have some questions about rates on my publicservers (HLDS 1.6). Is it
possible to run high rates in server.cfg with my setup?
3x32 slots HLDS 1.6 + AmxmodX and some thirdparty plugins.
Hardware:
Dell Power Edge R300
Quadcore Intel Xeon X5470 3.33Ghz
Dell Intel X5000 Chipset
Hynix 4x2GB Dual Rank-RAM
2x 73GB SAS 15K rpm (Raid-1)
Broadcom Netxtreme II
Other info:
Linux Debian
+sys_ticrate 10000 -pingboost 2
rates i use now (working good):
sv_maxupdaterate "50"
sv_minupdaterate "40"
sv_maxrate "30000"
sv_maxspeed "900"
sv_minrate "12000"
But if i change sv_maxupdaterate to 100 everybody chokes. And i wonder why? I
have the server in a very good datacenter in Sweden (Pionen), so the connection
is good. But still we get choke.
