Hello,
NOTE: This is *not* a CSS beta server, it is still on the most recent
"production" version.
My CSS has always been very stable in the past ans it was up yesterday,
but today I noticed it was down. The process was still running, but
there was this output on the console and I could no longer type into it:
VAC secure mode is activated.

So, I killed the process and tried to restart it using the same script
I've been using for a few of years, but it failed. Turns out the
problem is that srcds_run is no longer in the directory
(/usr/local/srcds_1) where it always was before. I did an update with
-verify_all but it said everything was up to date and did not download
any new files.
I am running CSS and TF2 out of the same base directory. CSS has always
had its srcds_run and srcds binaries in /usr/local/srcds_1 and its
content in /usr/local/srcds_1/cstrike, and TF2 has always had everything
in /usr/local/srcds_1/orangebox. Now, the only srcds_run I can find in
that entire path is orangebox/srcds_run. Is it possible that one of the
recent TF2 updates deleted the srcds_run file for CSS from the base
directory? Has anyone else experienced this? I can start the server
using srcds_i686, but srcds_run has been there for years and I'm puzzled
as to why it is gone now.
