Mzz..... Hi All,

MY SERVER WORKS FINE ...

No crashes ,Quit or Exit. No errors.! ON my server Engine53 patch works !
.....or is there more ??
Do Engine54/55 also need NEW some Lib packages installed ??

My SERVER Installation :

First Linux installation 3 weeks ago ... Having No experiance on linux (just
these 3 weeks) ......made me:
reinstall the Whole system 3 times, and the HLDS Server many, many more
to get it working perfect..... (amazing how fast software can be
annihilated trying to fix it)

    Os: Debian-505-i386-netinst.
    Server: HP P-class Visualize
    Proc: 2 x 1Ghz P3 (Coppermine)
    Mem : 512Mb RAM (4 x 128 Mb)
Kernel: linux-source-2.6.26 : Tickless, High Res, Timer freq 1000HZ,
                                                Compl. Preemption, RCU traced

I did read the forums, and found: [ /hlds_run: line 321: 7373 Segmentation
fault ]

[/hlds_run: line 321: 7373 Segmentation fault ]
about Installing library's to fix the Error for a 64Bit
system and Debian..
                       forum says install:

apt-get install ia32-libs (does not work on
my 32bit System)
                       libgcc1_4.1.1-21_i386.deb (cant find File on
Server)

Also Got the advice to use Enigine53 Not having any problems on that version.

Did some Research and installed these extra packages..for my 32bit Debian
alsow installed the Engine53 to get it perfect on Quit and Exit

 # apt-get install libdb4.6-dev
 # apt-get install libc6
 # apt-get install libc6-dev
 # apt-get install libc6-i686
 # apt-get install libgcc1-dbg
 # apt-get install gcc-4.1-base

 And STEAM Engine53 source:
http://www.games-inside.nl/engine53.tar.bz

Just -autoupdate up to current Engine55 ...Server Fixed.....! ! ! ! (crash if
not updated)

I' dont know anything about libriary's or what software HLDS needs ...
Only that the libc4.6 up to ggc-4.1-base ...Libriary's overlap resources
Not shure if u realy need all 6 or one of my prev installed Packages.

my server works fine and i do make good note's ...Re-tested server
installation 2 times.

Dont forget to -autoupdate to current engine55
