For various reasons, I have elected to keep my server out of the QuickPlay pool. When I ran it for the first time after QuickPlay had started, it nearly immediately filled up, an effect which, believe it or not, was one I did NOT want. As such, I have tagged my server with "noquickplay".
However, I had a question about one of the attributes of a QuickPlay server which could apply to a non-QuickPlay one. One of the "desirable" attributes for QuickPlay is registering the server with a Steam account. Since my server will not be a QuickPlay serer, is there any advantage (or even any point) to having it attached to a Steam account? Anyone have any insights?
