I've yet to see a server that has too many plugins which cause performance issues. A server equipped with all 3, sm, mani and eventscripts does not waste more resources than basic installation. They just take some more memory but of course it depends what you run. If some user has a system where every action is stored into a large file that gets read all the time, then you have an issue. If someone runs zombie escape, naturally it and related maps will eat the cpu out.
