Yeah you have a really long post but I'm just going to say I'm not talking
about when the Steam services go down and you cannot PLAY your games -
thats always shitty.

This thread started because the sales and inventory were down. Just because
the storefront is down doesn't mean it's costing you money. I've been
playing TF2 every day for hours, before and now during the sale with no
interruption. Maybe I'm on some secret never-fail network (I am near
ValveHQ....) but if not having access to spending money causes this much
stress then you perhaps should put your values on something more tangible :(

Also I don't have a lot of Steam friends I guess you win there? I only add
people I know by first name - there are plenty of other ways to keep in
touch with a community of people (like steam communities!).

If Steam being down literally costs you money then you have really large
issues with your finances. When the DRM service is down - that does "cost"
you money - as far as I know we weren't discussing that.

In any case, none of it is really relevant to this list is it?

I'm sorry to sew any seeds of confusion I was just trying to stop this
thread from becoming a big bitch-fest because people can't access their
free items/sales; or they want an answer if Valve is working on making
Steam better (which I've pointed out the answer is either "Yes, duh" or
"No, go fuck yourself", both aren't very satisfying.

(I think I made it worse!)
