My usual update command is
./steam -command update -game tf -dir . -retry
. is the current directory that the HLDSUpdateTool binary is in, but the
game server will install some shared files to ./hl2/ and the rest to
./orangebox/tf/

Hi Eric, just installing my first TF2 server, wanted to know the command for
doing the updates on it that you release, is it just running the -command
update or is it like the cs1.6 updates where you do -beta hlbeta in the install
command?

Subject: [hlds_linux] Optional TF2 server update
A new TF2 server binary is part of the update we just released. The new binary should address the problems you've been experiencing with the listdeaths command.
Updating to the new binary is optional.
