There was also Cold Ice, one of the hottest mods in it's day. I have the
dubious distinction of having the Internet's last remaining Cold Ice server
still running. Does anyone have any idea what happend to the mod makers, and
maybe where the source can be found? The mod team fell apart and everyone
went their own ways and we all lost touch with each other. I've given
serious thought to making a HL2 version of Cold Ice.
I found the source code to Cold Ice, but now I have to figure out how to modify
it so that it will compile in linux. Are you still around?
Which version did you find, and where did you find it? I used to have
the source to an unreleased beta, but have not been able to find it -
alas, I think it is gone, which greatly saddens me.
I thought of updating and releasing it - ass monkey and I talked about
this for a while, but the coder quit on us and took the source with him.
You can find an article here:

I was also on the hardcore-life mod team for a while, but again the
coder quit on us while we were in beta. After that, I kinda lost my
interest in pursuing half-life modding, and how many people play
deathmatch these days? It just seemed like a lot of work for a dying
sport....
Can you compile the source under Windows? I would try that first just to
make sure you actually have a working code set.
