Half-Life (1) under HLDS, logging to wrong directory?
Not sure exactly how long this has been going-on, but I just noticed it a few
days ago, and have been scratching my head trying to figure-out when/why it
changed.
Basic, HL1 (GoldSrc) dedicated server that I have had for (ever) basically:
/somefolder/ <--- where HLDS is installed.
/somefolder/valve/ <--- the game.
/somefolder/valve/logs <--- where logs SHOULD be going?
/somefolder/logs <--- where logs ARE ACTUALLY going!
The value of the "logsdir" CVAR is "logs" (it's never been anything else).
I noticed that for all the mods I have have, they are going where I would
extect (/somefolder/mod/logs), with the CVAR set the same/default way ("logs").
Am I totally smoking crahck here? I could swear on HL it was also going to
/somefolder/valve/logs not /somefolder/logs!
I clear out my logs fairly regularly, so I have no older data to refer to. I
just happened to go looking for the logs last week - and I didn't find them
right away because of this.
