Yep, that's exactly what I was asking about.Hmm... so, not handling this like 
the TF2 beta's at all then?With the TF2 beta, I can play/test TF2 beta for a 
while, then close-it, jump over and start the non-beta version of TF2 client - 
without having to do a bunch of opt-in/opt-out/re-install stuff (as it appears 
it required for the CS:S beta client).
When I tried a to join a non-beta server from the beta CS:S client, I got the 
message about the server running an old version.
Consequently, I personally already opted-back out of the CS:S client beta - 
just so that I could play normal CS:S.
If that is the intended behavior, that probably means you're not going to get 
nearly as many people to test out CS:S beta's.Having it as a distinct app on 
the client (ala TF2 beta at-the-moment) definitely makes it more "usable".

We removed the CS:S beta application (App ID 260) from the game list today,if 
that was what you installed.We're not using that.There is an opt-in beta to the 
main CS:S application.
