I would recommend running steamcommand with ./steamcmd.sh +runscript somescript where somescript is a simple textfile with the commands you want to execute line by line. Then I would advice you to use an absolute path in that script, like /home/hlds/gearbox/ or whatever. Using relative paths with .. might get messy if you don't always run steamcmd.sh from the same place.
