Hi,I've been trying to set up a TF2 server on FreeBSD (using the linux emulation). I got it running easily, but when trying to play on it, it stutters/lags horribly. When enabling "net_graph 4" I can see that the "sv:" value is hovering at around 18, and every few seconds it shortly drops to 1 or 2. Checking the cpu usage, it shows the machine still at >90% idle. Can anyone help me figure out where the problem actually lies, and if it's fixable? Thanks, Sec
I have noticed that during an update to TF2 and CSGO some time shortly before the 8th Feb (Sorry, don't have an exact date), this performance issue appeared under FreeBSD. I have tried both FreeBSD 9 and 10, as well as linux_base-f10 and linux_base-c6, with no change in performance. TF2 will over somewhere between 10 and 20 fps (shown with stats command), and csgo was pretty much stuck to 10 fps.
If anybody would wish me to return a particular test / trace etc. Just let me know, I have two VMs dedicated to working out the source of this problem (when I first spotted it myself).
