For passwd: chmod -s /bin/passwd setcap CAP_DAC_OVERRIDE,CAP_SETUID=ep /bin/passwd
linux/capability.h doesn't specifically say it, but CAP_DAC_OVERRIDE bypasses rwx checking on all files. robert
