To get Mesa-7.2's libGL.so to build as a shared object, it looks like all assembly needs to be disabled with --disable-asm.
Patches to previous versions of Mesa assembly code have been rejected upstream, so the patches aren't being maintained, and --disable-asm is what is left. robert
