How do I join the HNV mailing list?
___________________________________

Send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the single line in the
body of the message (not the subject) saying:

subscribe hnv

You will get a request for confirmation back. Send the entire line
that starts "auth" back to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Expect somewhere around 4 chapters of the HNV per day,
along with related material (like this FAQ).

If you stop getting your daily Bible readings, you may have been
unsubscribed due to email messages to you bouncing. This may be
caused by mailboxes exceeding their space limit, by misconfiguration
of mail handling systems, and other errors that you may or may not be
aware of. If this happens to you, simply subscribe again.

Please note that all email to majordomo must be plain ASCII text in
the body of the message, not formatted in HTML, RTF, or a Word
attachment.

If you don't have access to the account you are unsubscribing
from, then add your old email address to the line, like

unsubscribe bible [EMAIL PROTECTED]

but substitute your own email address for [EMAIL PROTECTED] If
that doesn't work, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] for help from a real
person.

Just unsubscribe from the old address and subscribe from the new
address, using the instructions above.

How was the HNV translated?
___________________________

The HNV is an edition of the World English Bible that was
created by substituting the Greek/English names common in
English translations with the literal, and sometimes
traditional, phonetic Hebrew names. This has been done for the
most part for names of towns, people (along with their personal
or organizational titles), and also Feast days and other words
that may be of interest.

For more information on the World English Bible, please see
http://www.ebible.org/bible/WEB, or send email to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] with the single line

info bible

in the body of the message.

Where is the HNV on the World-Wide-Web?
_______________________________________

The HNV is at http://www.ebible.org/bible/hnv in both html and
in zipped plain text formats.

________________________________________

What is the copyright status of the HNV?
________________________________________

The HNV is dedicated to the Public Domain by the editors and
translators. It is a derivative work of the World English Bible,
which is in the Public Domain. You may copy and publish this work
freely (with or without charging for it), but you may not
copyright it yourself or prevent others from publishing it.
