Excerpts from leon breedt's mail of 24 Jul 2005 (EDT):

> + <meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache" />
> + <meta http-equiv="Expires" content="-1" />

The meta tag examples in the HTML 4.0 documentation don't include the trailing
slash:
  http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/struct/global.html#h-7.4.4.2

OTOH, the w3.org HTML does include it.

So what's the deal? Is it optional? Required? Recommended?
