OK, so this is going to be an HTTP passthru to rubyforge
authentication?

Heh, and I used to think Inkscape's CVS access policy (2 accepted
patches, you get a commit bit, no questions asked) was dangerously
liberal. ^_-

But you know, as far as that log thing goes, if you invite everyone
on rubyforge to the party (but even if you don't), adding a mailing
list for commit messages for each project might be a good idea. 
It'd provide a nice birds-eye-view of what's going on in the tree.
