We have had major battles for the last two weeks with government enterprise security groups that don't have experience with Ruby and Rails. We have won the battles for now, but it takes the wind out of your sails. I can just see the same battles coming with other clients!
I now see the light for using JRuby in the enterprise. All we deploy is a WAR file, and they don't know the difference. Anyone deployed a Hobo app using JRuby?
