I've been developing a hobo app for writing code tests, and code solutions to those tests, called DevU (Developer University). Think of something like code golf, or ruby quiz, in the context of TDD/BDD. I was thrilled at how easy it was to get the UI (mostly) generated for me, and be able to get to the real crux of the app so quickly.
Unfortunately, I realized that as someone who doesn't practice TDD/BDD yet (cringe), I don't really understand the strong and/or pain points of the methodology; as such, I'll never be in love with doing what the app enables a user to do. I've decided to apply my time and efforts into other ideas, and open-source my efforts so far. I'd love to see someone take this and run with it. The code is available on github: http://github.com/ph0rque/devu/tree/master and you can see a demo of it running on herokugarden: http://devu.herokugarden.com/ . The data architecture and several mockups (developed with Balsamiq) are in the mockups folder. Big thanks to my friend and Ruby mentor Sean Johnson, who came up with a lot of the good ideas of the app and helped me design/develop it, especially with the code where tests/solutions are executed and their status is captured.
