Have you got the necessary bit in your model?
e.g.:
has_attached_file :image,
:styles => {
:thumb=> "45x45#",
:medium => "150x106>",
:main => "295x280>"
}
thats assuming you have in your model definition:
image_file_name :string
image_content_type :string
image_file_size :integer
