Hi Folks

Just in case anyone else is running into this, there's a rather nasty
bug (or you might call it a breaking change) in Rails 2.3 ajax.

You used to be able to add _method=put as a query parameter, and the
Rails router would recognise that request as a put (even if it was in
fact a post, which has it's parameters in the body of the request, not
in the query string).

Doesn't work in Rails 2.3

The workaround for now is to add a request header
HTTP_X_HTTP_METHOD_OVERRIDE = PUT

As a result Hobo's ajax is broken right now in various places with
Rails 2.3.

Tom
