Just a thought for a possible hack!
How about we insert some metadata on the output of the rendering of
each tag within a container tag body, fx:
Each tag is prepended with :# and appended with #, fx:
:# [B content] #:
<comma>
<B>
<C>
<D>
</comma>
assuming:
- <B> output "B!"
- <C> outputs ""
- <D> output "D!"
We want the final output to be
{ B!, D! }
def comma
{
<do param="default" separator=","/>
}
end
def hack
{
<comma>
<B>
<C>
<D>
</comma>
}
end
EXECUTE:
--------
hack ->
do "hack" START
"{"
do "comma"
execute param.default
render B, C, D ->
:# B! #: :##: :# D! #:
yield back to "comma"
0. replace ":##:", symbolising empty generated content with ""
:# B! #::# D! #:
1. replace "#::#" with ","
:# B!,D! #:
2. remove remaining ":#" and "#:"
{ B! , D! }
do "hack" finish
{ B! , D! }
DONE :)
