There's no explicit documentation. but it's on my list of things to
do. How about we turn this thread into a discussion where people
mention items that have to go into that documentation?
In general, it just works:
<def tag="form" for="Submission">
<form param="default" merge>
<error-messages/>
<do:provider>
<input:name/>
<hidden-id-field/>
</do>
<input-many:patients>
<field-list fields="name, ssn"/>
<hidden-id-field/>
</input-many>
</form>
</def>
(above example not tested, but should work)
Note that provider is a belongs_to and patients is a has_many.
Sometimes you don't need any hidden id fields, sometimes you need the
id of the parent and sometimes the id of the child. (child shown in
example).
Note that we still use the old Hobo mechanism for multi model forms.
The Rails 2.3 mechanism is not used.
