Sometime back (the last time I seriously investigated hobo for use on a project) I played around with the code of the hobo-version of the hobocentral.net site (which included a blog, comment and forum bundle - if I remember correctly). So I never used either hobo or hobo- bundles for a real-life project. But I can imagine quite a few cases where I would like to use bigger chunks of canned (but adaptable) functionality inside a custom app. Commenting, threaded discussions, event calendars and basic CMS functionality (and maybe basic ecommerce stuff) are the kinds of things which are recurring themes in my development work and stuff I don't want to code over and over again (even using hobos excellent tools!).
