Thank you for the help. I may still be a little bit dense. I tried
your code form pastie and was able to upload the file, but I am not
sure how to activate the code in the model.
I added the puts line below to the code thinking I would see that line
printed out in the server window. Do I need to add something to the
controller to kick this off?
def xml_file=(uploaded_file)
hxml = Hpricot open(uploaded_file.path)
# -- explicit parsing action goes here --
puts "------- hxml --- #{hxml}"
end
