I agree that the main site leaves visitors wondering if anything is going on for months at a time.
I also agree that more screencasts would be very helpful. The one on frontpage of the main Hobo site now is very polished and sets a great standard. One of the promises of Hobo is to provide a declarative environment that non programmers as well as programmers can do great things with. Some programmer and non-programmer success stories might be useful. If I can get something finished, I volunteer to be a non-programmer testimonial. I have noticed some comments from Rails developers along the lines of 'too much magic for me'. Perhaps an elevator pitch/tag-line that captures the philosophy of speed with flexibility would help drive home that Hobo does not mean giving up control. This could be attached to the site, to 'built with' icons, etc. Is there a possible champion in the Rails community that could act as an influencer? Someone with a following who's blessing would make a difference?
