Yes, Hobo 1.3pre (version 6 is the latest is available for testing with Rails 3, and will not work with earlier version of Rails. Too many major changes to Rails 3 to try to blend version.
Hobo 1.0.2 (patches) for Rails 2.3.x will be released soon.
